BLACK TUESDAY!!!!!

So today is black Tuesday right... and for all of those wondering what the hell it's about well let me enlighten you....

The National Press Club has dubbed the day “Black Tuesday” and called on South Africans to don black as a form of protest; the Right2Know Campaign is organising multiple simultaneous pickets and Public Prosecutor Thuli Madonsela has set up a team to investigate concerns around the bill-<black tuesday being a reference to Black Wednesday in 1977 when two newspapers were banned.

As the original call to action read: “We appeal to South Africans to wear black on Tuesday as a form of protest. Even wearing black armbands is encouraged. Let's tell the government we are all opposed to censorship. It's crunch time. The nation needs to unite and stop this nonsense.” In addition, the National Press Club called on President Jacob Zuma not to sign the bill into law, even if it is passed by Parliament, and instead refer it to the Constitutional Court. The organisation also called on the ANC to make changes to the bill to bring it in line with our Constitution.

All indications are that the ANC will try to ram the Protection of State Information Bill through the National Assembly.

But we South Africans are not taking this lying down, there are hundreds of people protesting all over the country against the secrecy bill.

One Twitterer, @HRH_Nombuso, was glad that Twitter was showing its solidarity against the Secrecy Bill: "I love how everyone's involved with Black Tuesday & the Secrecy Bill. Good to know that Twitter's good for things other than pushing terror."

Tweeters who supported the cause gave their reasons for doing so.

Said @i_am_jobarrow: "Because this country has worked too hard and come too far to see history repeating itself."

Twitterer @KhulekaniMag wrote: "For the people living [in] municipalities that are slowly fading into ghost towns because of maladministration..."

Tweeted @Niquifruit: "You've gotta love SA. As a nation, we've seen too much injustice so we love our freedom and democracy. Don't mess with it."

@Brettpentland_s tweeted: "Metaphorically standing together against the POIB on Black Tuesday! This bill cannot be passed by a government strife with corruption!!!"

Some chose to quote the words of others, such as @Selina_dF, who tweeted: "'To limit the press is to insult a nation' - Claude-Adrien Helvétius."

Nelson Mandela was quoted by @hfourie146: "'A critical, independent and investigative press is the lifeblood of any democracy'",  while Albert Camus' words were quoted by @JackHammerEH: "'A free press can be good or bad, but without freedom the press will never be anything but bad'".

Even an animated spoof was quoted, with @Julienfievez tweeting: "As they say in Team America, 'Freedom isn't free. Freedom costs a buck-o-five and if you don't chip in, who will?'"

What happened to survival of the fittest???

I am a firm believer in survival of the fittest, not in the whole not religious and no God way, but in the way that if you want to go somewhere great or achieve something you have to get off your arse and do it way. If you want something you have to earn it, it will not jump into your lap.

A few years back I started to watch these South African made stories and actually started liking them. <7de laan of course being on top of my list!!!!!!>

Recently however I’ve started to notice a trend in all these stories especially where court cases and social workers were concerned. I can’t remember onetime where a rich person won the support of the social workers, or the judges.

I know they are usually snobby and not that nice, but they put on a big act and pretend, but they still end up the losers. Their weaker opponents always get the verdict!!!!

I thought the aim was to make the stories as believable as possible, or am I just thinking the worst of people.

You are probably thinking what the eff is this girl on about well let me explain.

The story I was watching last night is about the Spencer family and their clan and all that jazz, somewhere in the past the woman (Kate)’s daughter was kidnapped and replaced with someone else’s daughter. After years they found out and now the Spencers have both children. Now the other child’s biological father want her., so they are in this custody battle for this child.

What is bothering me is that the social worker makes no secret of the fact that she wants the child to be with her biological father, which I get, but he his wife is dead, he goes off on mood swings, is an international cricket player so he has no stability whatsoever while this child<who’s like seven or eight> is used to living in the rich part of town in a high security house with a mother and father and the world of stability.

And then the child stopped talking from all this shocks.  What also pisses me off was that the judge saw his temper and when Mr I’m an international sport star did not get his way right away he stopped shaving, his house looked like a pigsty and I would be surprised if he even showered.

He went off on a rampage to the judge, yelling at him, getting mad and acting like a lunatic.

All while the Spencer kept their side clean (as far as the judge is concerned), but then after Biological father gave the judge a speech of “She’s all I have left” the case was done for it.

And it did not matter that the Spencer were the better options for the child; the bloody soppy story idiot got her. And his first words after he received the news…

<To a journalist who wants to make a document about the child going to her father>

“I love the 24hour access clause you added, so Chris Spencer can see every minute of it and hurt!!”

And this is not the only story it happens in!!! What happened to storylines where the characters had to be strong in life to win, not just be a pathetic sorry looking excuse for a person.

This is the examples set for our lives, be pathetic and you’ll win.

NO MORE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST!!!

This is the norm in which our societies strive and live, the poor help the poor, they strive from their circumstances to become social workers and nurses and all that jazz just so that they can help the likes of themselves win over the Spencers of the world. And no matter how much money they have or how good they are, the underdogs will always win if a previous underdog is in control!!!

So thats my thought for today, chew it over!!!

Twilight!!!!!!!!!! :-)

The first time I heard of the phenomenal that was taking teenagers lifes and minds by storm was in 2009, and everyone I knew ( well still know) were going crazy over Twilight. Everyone was going crazy about the sparkling vampire who fell in love with this human. Me being me was set on not falling into that trap and I refused to watch the movie.

I remember having a qoute from the movie as my wallpaper without even knowing it was from that movie.

I was commited to being the only one of my friends who had not watched it and I was proud of it, Until one rainy day me and two of my friends were lying in a friends hostel room in white house and we were watching movies and twilight turned out to be one of them. With a shock I heard the words of my wallpaper being uttered in that movie and somewhere in that two hours of watching the movie this lamb fell head over heels for a lion.

But sticking to my different self my obsession was based on the different vamp, everyone was running around being crazy about Edward Culllen ( Robert Pattinson ) but Miss Crazy fell in love witth another vampire- Mr Emett Cullen ( Kellan Lutz )

So after watching the movie I started reading the books and now two years later I have read all the books about a hundred times ( am not exagerating ). I watched the  movie about 20 times and the follow ups just as much.

The thing is however that even with the other 2 movies being totally awesome and featuring only the hottest people ( I mean look at Taylor Launter)  they did not have the same power on me as the first movie and by the third movie it got a bit blad, but I mean it's still addictive, I can't stop watching it!!!!

So now we have are all anticipating the last movie that will be shown in two days time and I am as excited as all the other Twihards!

Breaking Dawn the book promised us that its going to be as the awesomist!!!!

Somewhere along the line of the year the song by Brandy has became the athem to my life!!!!

Ive never liked Brandy's music except that one song with her and Ray J named another day in paradise, but other than that I had not liking of her music.

To me a song must touch me in order for me to like it, it must speak to my soul and heart, and that is exactly what this song did.

It was not the first time I heard this song, coz the first time was years ago and it just didn't do jack for me, but this yearit just became part of my life and crawled into my heart.
